Not really done anything major today, but fitted a fair bit in... Slept late, seeing as I only got to bed at dawn - had a meeting about remixes etc this afternoon, then went to get my car from the MOT service thing, was quite a laugh - we were entertaining the solomn people in the waiting room - I took my dad with me so they woudln't rip me off thinking i was a dumb young lad - and he'd cleaned my car out b4 we dropped it off and was joking about all the condoms in there (not used ones) and being an embarrassing but amusing old man. My dad is pretty cool tho, he's got all the Led Zep albums on Vinyl, and konws lots of drum & bass trivia. Ive got an ace pic of him with fabio adn grooverider somewhere. when i find it i'll post it up here. decided big brother USA is a bit crap. tried watchign it this evening and really wasnt impressed. have since been listening to spandau ballet and buying things online. i got a wikkid howard jones t-shirt so i can go be a faux-stalker. have also decided to buy an xbox in the morning, cos my mate knows how to chip them so you can run linux on it and play crazy old games and stuff. theyre pretty cheap now, adn i can hook it up to teh surround sound system in my bedroom. BOHHHH. scanned in a few more pictures for u alll - got a wikkiid flyer from when i played in San Fran last month, designed by the mighty Ian McDonnal:  they stuck mine and disco D's heads on some Amsterdam sex show chicks. Nice. I still think i look better as a guy. oh yeah, found a new Dead or Alive DVD of videos today too so i put that in my amazon basket. about 25 tracsk on there and tv performances etc. should be wikkid. I saw pete burns at nagnagnag a couple of months ago, and he looked pretty cool, kinda scarey and tall but quality quality 80s master. ok one more photo b4 i go, this is me and my lovely friend Libby Picken at Miami Music Conference in March. MIXMAG CliPPinG! OakenFolD connectionZ...
Sop check this out:  I scanned it out of this month's MixmaG... nice. Almost missed it, I just buy the mag in case they review any of my stuff in the D&B section - my mate Dylan just told me about this bit. Rock ON. Its just about some tracks they signed to go on the next Oakey compilation thing, I did special OakenfolDy remixes of some of my Drum & Bass tracks for the CD and they liked them. yay. Geeeez Mixmag are on the case already! haha. i wonder what the Drum & Bass world is gonna think when they found out... I guess as long as i Keep makign some monster BoooooM tracks everyone will be haPPy. Okay its late, i have to get up early to jog about for the rush hour massive in my kraftwerk shirt.

Very Friendly(ster)
Got to bed way too late last night, like 530am, and hadn't even gone out anywhere - just stayed in and did lots of things in the studio, sorted out my new Xbox and stuff. Found a new way to do situps, elevating my legs on the bed - makes it sorta easier, but works harder, so thats a result. Woke up too late today. Ran 4 miles in under 30 mins, 29 somthingorother, it was nice and sunny, but my ipod cable got caught in my bagthing so i slowed down for a bit. Went to see my mum and dad for dinner and had a nice BBQ in the garden. i think its gonna be sunny 2moro so i might have a bbq and pimms binge with some mates.
This eve i was int eh studio, workign on a ghetto tech, booty bass, drum&bass hybrid track. Hows that for genre-defining? BOH. Very rude lyrics courtesy of ms dj stareyes from SF. SHould get it finshed tomorrow as long as its not too sunny and makes me sunbathe.
Found some ace Pinot Grigio at Waitrose -loving it, esp when almost frozen in my freezer. I heartily reccommend.

ONline SHopping Binges
Today was Sunday so I didn't do anything spectacular - but I did order some great new Tshirts online - 80s and punk ones, and some new books from Amazon, and a new set of Headphones, cos my old sony ones have finally broken. I had some silver Sony 700DJ ones, and they snapped, outside the guarantee now, so I'm mad at Sony. I asked around and a lot of my mates with the same phones had them break in the same way, all around 18 months after they bought them. Manufacturing DefecT shaBBy SonY. I ordered some Sennheiser ones instead, hopefully they will last longer. I'm gonna send the other ones back to Sony and complain, its really lame, they were about £90 when i bought them. Then played badminton with my mate Robbie in the garden. Nice, good excercise. Also did lots of washing up.
OK ranT over.
So it's supposed to be really sunny tomorrow - I expect I'll sunbathe for a bit and listen to some A-Ha and Flock of Seagulls. Yes. And I WILL get up at 9am.

Not in Miami, but I'll do my best to pretend
Love the weather today - I got up early to sunbathe seriously. Spilled lotion everywhere on my wood floor, and had some Record Label things to sort out after I'd mopped it up. Decided to pretend I was in Miami - so listened to all my sunbathing favourites - FLock of Seagulls, A-ha and Lots of Electro stuff. managed to avoid burning, but got some panda eyes developing I'll have to sort out 2moro. Rediscovered the band Soviet this afternoon. Beatiful. Like modern OMD or something. Rockon. Had to go and buy fruit and healthy things in Wiatrose, and had a very wierd DejaVu thing, walked past a lady and had this total vibe that she was my mother, and was abotu to say, "oh, hi there MuM" then realised it totally wasn't her - so started thinking how cool it cwould be if mum was there, cos i was proud of my basket of fruit and cereal and healthy things, and no wine. Then I was about to go to the checkout and my mum turned up. Nuts. It wasn't her before, but how freaky that I should have thought of that and then it happened. Maybe I have some new superpowers. I'll see if they only work in Waitrose, or if they extend to other venues. It might be because I've got my Sleeping patterns a bit more back to normal and haven't had any wine for a few days. Let's hope I have unlocked a dormant PsychoKinetic power or something. Then Spent this evening working on the Radio edit of a remix I just did for LTJ Bukem's label. Almost done, will finish off 2moro as long as my Mac doesnt overheat - the dual processers don't like beign this hot.... So apart from that not much else to report. I haven't taken any new photos, but found a few ones from Miami WMC last year that are nice and sunny and are vaguely appropriate to the current UK heatwave. I guess. Apologies for how drunk I look in the pics, I think I'd had 7 Chocolate martinis on the BruceLee shirt night so was a bit wasted. Heatwave disrupting my Macintosh
Sunbathed a bit, and made a bunch of business calls: spoke to SS, Exile, Mars, Dylan etc.
Upgraded Logic in the studio to 6.1.1 so it won't crash on me now. The fan has been spazzing out lately, in the heat, I presume there's some kind of thermostat in there, and occassionally, the Mac goes nuts like a hairdryer - a bit worrying, I guess I'll jsut go easy on it this week. Gotta do the B-side for Pressure ASAP tho, so maybe ill have to get a portable A/c machine for the studio.
Spoke to designers about artwork for all the new releases, and new batch of Magazine ads.
Ran 4 miles in about 29mins this evening, scared some dogwalkers at the park possibly. Think shinspints are coming back, so gonna have to go to gym instead for a bit. Probably not a bad thing, they have a/c...
Upgraded and installed Absynth 2 in the studio too - took ages, like 2 hrs all in - so much back and forth authentication nonsense. Good sounds though.
Amost finished the GLR radio edit.
Pretty mashed tho, gonna get up early 2moro b4 it gets hot and do many many tasks.
Considering Swerve Wed night, or maybe Bar Rhumba on Thurday. Might just save myself for Ascot on Saturday tho. Hmm.

SunBurn & Sedation
Went to bed b4 midnight for the first time in about 5 years yesterday - not including jetlag days. Still abstaining from Wine successfully, despite various glam invites to London, including a superduper Boy George listening party thing 2moro night (not from him directly I might add - just guest list biznizz). He was rude to me once at Swerve ages ago, (although nice another time at Nagx3 so I'll let him off - doubt he even knows of me anyway so it's no big deal) glad to hear he's into electro now, not a bad thing. And I liked the purple suit he was wearing last time I saw him down nagnagnag. Got lots done today, despite sunbathing a lot - although I think it made more more efficient - sunbathe for 20 mins, then come in and do 1 or 2 tasks on my list and do some situps, then go out again and put a new CD on. I think my neighbours were out so I had it a bit loudeR... Today we had Eric Morillo, Foreighner, Goldfrapp and Sonar 2003 compilation thing. [Check the webcam to see my resultant dodgy panda eyes.] 2moro im gonna risk my retinas and not wear glasses so much. Hmm, also ordered my Grandstand ticket for Ascot on Saturday, am meeting up with some old University mates from Durham for the day, should be a laugh - i think you have to dress reasonably smart tho, so I'll probably have to go on a topman mission b4 then. Gotta get in the studio this evening if i can bear the heat. Can't have the windows open or my poor neighbours will go deaf. No new photos, but I do have this clipping from the Maidenhead Advertiser, my hometown newspaper, from a few weeks ago - basically there's been a big scandal about out Lameoid council wasting heaps of money on a new rebranded logo and slogan, they could have got schoolkids to do in a competition or something - and this new logo has already been seen in France at some museum, and generally the whole saga kicked up a stink for a while - it's rumoured they spent/wasted about 40-80K on it... Anyway, I found a virtually identical one in a shopfront in San Francisco and emailed the photo to the newspeople and they put it on page 3!! Whoohoo! They quoted me again on something else last week - I'll scan that in and show u later on... Here's the photo anyway, I'm sure you're griPPed with excitement...
